Environmental policy

Environmental policy is based on the commitment, awareness of the relevant issues and decision-making abilities of the management, engineers and employees, whose activity may positively influence the protection of the environment.

IRCR Manufacturing  develops all employees' awareness of the fact that each and every process, activity and/or product may have an impact on the environment.

IRCR Manufacturing within the framework of its Environmental Policy, undertakes to meet the following objectives:

• to adhere to all provisions set out in the legal regulations (acts, decrees, directives) concerning protection of the environment,
  
  
• to make every effort to eliminate or minimise the negative impacts of its activities, products and/or services on the environment, health conditions of the employees and those living in the vicinity of the manufacturing plant,
  
  
• under the auspices of the company's management, to develop and provide for barrier-free communication, and if practicable, not to prefer the economic aspects to the ecological/environmental ones,
  
  
• to reduce the energy demand of its activities and products (company's own products) and to evaluate the power consumption on a regular basis,
  
  
• on the basis of the continuous and thorough analysis of the raw material and utility consumption, to aim at the maximum utilisation thereof and to minimise the levels of waste produced in all technological process,
  
  
• to use the comprehensive employee training system for heightening their awareness of and acquisition of the necessary knowledge related to the protection of the environment,
  
  
• to collaborate and liaise with the public/local authorities, state administration bodies and interest groups for the benefit of the state and local environmental policies,
  
  
• to adhere to the principles of the sustainable development with the stress on the most effective and economical use and introduction of the environmentally friendly technologies and machinery. To base this activity on the latest professional expertise, environmental impact assessments, and on the proposals for the prevention of the negative impacts and accidents, including the consequences thereof,
  
  
• the major goals and priorities include: to manage the issues related to the effluent and waste water disposal; elimination of the purchase of heavy metal containing batteries and mono-cells (Cd, Hg); tightening the fuel-consumption control for the company cars; elimination of the chlorohydrocarbons employed in degreasing processes; and implementation of the strongest measures for avoidance of the accidental leakage of chemical substances, primarily those with the nonpolar extractable hydrocarbons basis (oil substances), removal of sorbents and replacement thereof with special washing cloths, solving the use of painting compounds in sprays on assembly lines (spraying booth), storage of barrels with oils and other chemical substances and preparations in external areas under a roof (barrel racks).
